Confirmation

On Sunday 29 October, 9 community members completed their Confirmation at St Matthew’s Parish. The children were well prepared by Miss McCormack and Sr Sahaya. It was a beautiful celebration that was led by Bishop Gerard Holohan. It was lovely to see so many of the candidates’ family and friends come together to support these young people. Congratulations:

Our Year 4 Upcycling Champions

We are thrilled to announce that the Year 4 STEM group consisting of Mia, Oscar, Mackenzie and Mercy has won the Primary Conservation category of STEM MAD National 2023. The four designers developed an “Upcycling” project where objects destined for landfill were repurposed into innovative ideas. Part of their prize includes the opportunity to travel interstate to present their project at the STEM Mad Showcase in 2024. We could not be prouder! A huge thank you to Mrs Dyke for supporting the kids as they worked through their STEM design and to Mr Tenney for helping produce their video. Use the following link to watch their video

 

Year 1 & 2 Remembrance Day Prayer Service

On Thursday 9 November, our gorgeous Year 1 and Year 2 students led us in a Prayer Service focussed on Remembrance Day. Parents and community members joint the children in making a poppy to add to a display. This was followed by prayers of peace and reflection. Thank you to all who attended and to Miss Newton and Miss Rutter for preparing the children beautifully.

 

Art Awards

The Art Award for Week 4 went to Ethan (PP) for his impressive Australian picture. Congratulations, Ethan!
