Kindy Concert
It was lovely to see so many families attend the Kindy Concert on Tuesday evening. The Kindy children danced and sang throughout the Christmas Show and looked amazing in their costumes. A big thank you to Mrs Graham, Mrs Blyth and all staff who worked with these children throughout the year.
Thanksgiving and Graduation Mass 2019
On Wednesday morning, we celebrated our graduating Year 6 students at our end of Thanksgiving Mass. The Year 6 girls danced a liturgical movement, and gifts were presented to families who no longer had siblings at our school. Staff and students said farewell to Mrs Thomson and Miss Mowatt and Father Jayan gave a blessing. Our incoming students’ leaders for 2020 were announced and received their badges from the outgoing school captains. A big thank you to our Year 6 teachers Mr Tenney and Mrs Quartermaine for preparing this celebration. After Mass, our amazing volunteers were acknowledged at morning tea.
After lunch, our Year 6 students competed in a staff vs student soccer match, followed by the ringing of the school bell. A graduation ceremony was held on Wednesday evening. A wonderful way to finish their education at St Matthew’s School. We wish them lots of blessings as they transition into secondary school.
Quiz Night
The St Matthew’s P&F would like to thank the generous sponsors who supported our recent Quiz Night. The event was extremely successful thanks to the donations of prizes and money from our sponsors and we encourage our school community to support these businesses! We are pleased to announce that $5495 was raised from the night, with these funds contributing to the upgrade of our school playground equipment. We would also like to thank the many families within our school community who also contributed to the event – from volunteering your time to donating items, we appreciate your support of our P&F fundraising efforts.
2020 School Year
The 2020 school year commences for students on Monday 3 February 2020.
The uniform shop will be open on Friday 31 Jan for any of your uniform needs.
If you have ordered your booklist for the 2020 school year from Ziggies Educational, they will be delivered to the school on Wednesday 29 January. Parents may pick them up from the school office.
